Jacqueline Wilcox Obituary
Jacqueline M. Wilcox, 85, of Portland, passed away on October 31, 2023. She was born on August 16, 1938, to Walter L. and Phyllis L. (Koelzer) Holly. Jacqueline spent her younger years in Portland and raised her family in Swartz Creek moving back to Portland after Duane's retirement. She dedicated several years of her life to educating at local country schools, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of her students. In her leisure time, Jacqueline found great joy in exploring new places through travel, savoring meals at restaurants, and cherishing moments spent with her beloved family.
Preceding Jacqueline in death are her parents; husband of 57 years, Duane Wilcox; sons, Walter Wilcox and Robert Wilcox; and brother, Dennis Holly. Left to carry on her memory are her children, Leonard (Jennifer) Wilcox and Caroline (Rodney) Epps; daughter-in-law, Lorrie Wilcox; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, with one on the way in November; and siblings, Diane Russell, Dennis (Lana) Holly, and Luane (Pat) Goodman.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
