Jacquelyn “Jackie” Kay Daugherty, 73, of Adel, became an angel Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 10, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church, 602 S 14th Street, in Adel. A visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M., until the time of the service. Jackie was born in Fort Dodge, IA, on May 6, 1951, to Leonard and Vivian Zoss. Her childhood was spent with her 3 siblings, Sandra, Judy and Ed, between Correctionville, Manson and Redfield. Jackie went to college at Northwest Missouri State where she graduated with a degree in English.

Jackie met the love of her life, Tim Daugherty, and they spent 48 glorious years together, since joining in marriage on May 26, 1973. Jackie worked at Younkers until becoming a mother when she shifted her focus to raising their two sons, Tony and Joe, and being a wonderful homemaker and wife. She and Tim loved spending time with their four grandsons, enjoyed trips to the casino, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. The last family vacation Jackie took with Tim, Tony, Joe and their families was to see the Chicago Cubs play in 2016 when she finally got to see them win the World Series!

Jackie is survived by her sons, Tony (Vicki) Daugherty of Atkins, and Joe (Sarah) Daugherty of Waukee; her four grandchildren, Evan 19 and Blake 19 (Tony), and Caleb 15 and Andrew 12 (Joe); her siblings, Sandra (Dan) McComb of Glenwood, IA, Judy (Tom) Smithson of Panora, IA, and Ed (Sherie) Zoss of Keller, TX.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Daugherty; and her parents, Leonard and Vivian Zoss.
