Jaime Correa Jr.

At the tender age of 58, Jaime Correa passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Jaime had a strong faith in his personal Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. He was an unbelievable basketball player and passionate Philly's fan. He looked forward to Sundays and Mondays so that he could work his part-time job commentating on the Philadelphia Eagles games. Jaime was loving, kind, selfless and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed betting against the odds and always rooted for the underdog. If you ever needed to find Jaime you can be certain that he was at the racetrack, surrounded by the new friends he effortlessly made.
Jamie had the best heart ever. He despised seeing others get taken advantage of, often serving as an empathetic listener and a psychologist to loved ones in need. A true jack of all trades, he excelled not only in sports but also in understanding people; there was nothing that he couldn't do. Whenever he set his sights on a goal, you could bet he would achieve it. Jamie's bold and courageous personality was infectious, touching everyone he encountered. Family and friends who knew him best would say he was charismatic, and wise beyond his years. From his great looks to his well-put- together ensemble, Jamie was genuinely admired by everyone who knew him. He was seen and loved, and he will be forever missed by those who knew him.
Jaime loved his kids and grandkids more than anything in this world. He is survived by his son, Erik Correa (Carlease), daughter, Jessica Ostolaza (Alberto), along with their mother, Elsa, who was his lifelong love and cherished friend. He was the beloved son of Mercedes Correa and the late Jaime Correa Sr.; a cherished brother to Augustin, Victor, Maria & Mercy (Juan) Centeno, and devoted Pop Pop to his grandchildren Isabella, Elijah and Ariana. Jaime is also survived by his grand dog, Zoey, his nephews Anthony, Augie, Nicholas, and Steven, his nieces Maria, Mercy, Nicole, and Angelina as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home, 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19154 followed by his funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family in C/O T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home.
