Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors - North May AveJaime Rae Russell, cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on March 7th, 2001 in Norman, Oklahoma, Jaime brought light and joy to all who knew her. She grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma attending Mustang Valley Elementary and Mustang Middle School before moving to Casady School. She was a graduate of Casady School, Class of 2019, where she was a captain of the Cheer Team and went on to earn her marketing degree from the University of Mississippi in 2023, where she was an active member of the Iota-Omega Chapter of Alpha Phi sorority. After graduating Jaime took a job working DOT Compliance at T and W Tire. Her dedication to both her studies and her community was evident in all her endeavors.
Jaime loved many things, but her favorite was spending time on the lake with friends and family. Red Dirt Country Music was a staple in her life along with deer hunting, Ole Miss football, and skiing in Colorado even though she didn’t like the cold temperatures.
Jaime lived each day with selflessness and generosity. She made sure that everyone around her was having a good day and that they were taken care of. She believed that other’s happiness was the top priority behind The Lord, and her family. She genuinely wanted everyone to “have a great day!”.
A cherished member of the Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, Jaime was known for her warm spirit and unwavering kindness. She was baptized at CHBC on March 27th, 2011. She had an enormous heart for animals, reflected in her bond with her dog Moose and her support for the Oklahoma Humane Society.
Jaime leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss her. She is survived by her devoted parents, Melissa and Kane Russell, her siblings, brother Kayden Russell, sister Kaeley Russell, and sister Neeley Cook and husband Holden Cook. She is also survived by her grandparents, Connie Wilson, Helen and Robert Sisco, and Anita and Roy Russell, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jaime was preceded in death by her grandpa, Charlie Wilson, and her great grandma, V.E. “Nanny” Sisco.
The memorial service to honor Jaime’s life will be held on October 21st, 2025, at 11 AM at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church located at 2243 West State Highway 152, Mustang, OK 73064.
