Obituary of Jaime Lynn Woods
Jaime Lynn Woods, 46, of Gloversville, New York, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2023, at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Jaime was born in Amsterdam, New York on July 11, 1977, to George and Adelia (Ellsworth) Batease.
Jaime was a one-of-a-kind soul; her love was as deep as the oceans and her smile and dimples could light up a room. Her laugh was infectious, and as beautiful as she was. She made many friends over the years and has left long lasting impressions of joy and laughter behind for the many who were privileged enough to know her.
In the fall of 2013 Jaime reconnected with her long-lost love Jason Woods. The conversation began as a fond remembrance of her mother, and reminiscing about the good old days they had shared when they had previously dated in 1995. This chance encounter also rekindled a deep and passionate love between them, which had been lying dormant for many years. At almost the same time on that fateful day, the pair professed their mutual love for one another. In early 2014 they were re-united in person and began their renewed life and love together as a couple. On May 31, 2017, Jaime and Jason were married in the Town of Malta, New York.
Jaime had worked off and on in various jobs & careers throughout her life, but she found the most pleasure in being a Homemaker and caring for her family. She loved to cook, and always kept an eye out for a new recipe to try, occasionally adding in her own spin and touch of love to make it that much better!
Jaime loved her animals, the fall, and winter months most. She often took photographs while out and about doing things throughout the day. She loved nature and its vast beauty. She loved to watch the leaves turn colors each and every year. Jaime was always a fast learner, and she usually excelled at everything she tried. She loved France and the Eiffel Tower, she dreamed of one day being able to go visit it in Paris herself.
She leaves behind her loving family and friends, including her Husband Jason Woods; her sons, Dade Bates (Woods), and Jaimason Woods; her sister, Sandy Anderson and her husband Shelton; as well as many of her wonderful Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited, and may call on Friday, January 5, from 4 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York. A dinner in her memory will follow at the Rockton House, 34 Lyon St., Amsterdam.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 10 o'clock in the morning in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville, New York, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating, where she will be laid to rest with her mother. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.

She such a beautiful person. Always smiling and such a wonderful mom. I´m so glad got to know her. Her son was in the class I worked in. Kind, sweet, loving and caring
