Celebrating the Life of
Jake Anthony Cole
February 5, 2004- June 8, 2024
Jake Anthony Cole was born in Fort Smith, AR at Mercy hospital on the morning of February 5, 2004 to excited parents Drewey Cole and Tasha Sopshire-Cole. Jake Anthony was a sweet baby always smiling and he brought so much joy to his parents lives, his sister's life and many family and friends lives. He had a brilliant mind and excelled in preschool, elementary, junior high, high school and college. He was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, he won many reading, honor roll, perfect attendance and track awards.
Jake Anthony accepted the Lord into his life at the age of 12 years old and was baptized at the House of Restoration by Pastor Devrow. He loved children's church and youth services. He enjoyed our Pastor's sermons and Praise and Worship. As a young child Jake Anthony had many dreams of things to come, and warnings God gave to him that he shared with us. He would also pray for other children in children's church.
Jake Anthony Cole was a 2022 Arkansas Scholar graduate of Southside High School. He enjoyed attending school, going to school dances and pep rallies, he also enjoyed JROTC in high school. While in high school, Jake Anthony started a business- Jake's Snacks from 2021-2022, with permission from the schools, he started providing snacks for Southside and Northside students. He enjoyed learning about operating a business and was very successful. Jake Anthony enjoyed his time in College at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and was pursuing his degree in Criminal Justice. He also enjoyed ROTC at UAFS. He loved working at FEDEX, exercising, fishing, walking, bike riding, reading and writing stories for teens, drawing, making us laugh, he loved animals, and took great care of his pets Peaches and Twinkie, he loved for his Mom to cook his favorite meals and sweets, he was a great cook himself and he loved when his Dad grilled his favorite foods as well. Jake Anthony enjoyed helping with community help projects that fed the unsheltered and hungry in Fort Smith. Jake Anthony loved his family and all of the fun celebrations.
Jake Anthony Cole will continue to be loved and missed. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory : Mother Tasha Sopshire-Cole, his Father Drewey Cole, his sister Matana Cole, his maternal grandparents Abram and Linda Sopshire, and Freddie Sinclair, his paternal grandparents Kenneth and Elaine Cole, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
