MIDDLESEX – Jake Michael Pozzi, 36, of Middlesex, NC, tragically passed away February 15, 2025. He was born July 15, 1988, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Joseph Pozzi and Diane Augusto.
Jake was an incredibly vibrant and adventurous soul. He had a contagious sense of humor, often hilariously snarky, and his personality shone brightly in every room he entered. Known for his quick wit and charm, Jake was the type of person who could light up any situation with a joke or a heartfelt gesture. He possessed an unshakeable determination, a mind that could fix just about anything, and a heart that was larger than life. His love for people, his ability to help anyone in need, and his incredible talents made him a rare and extraordinary individual.
An outdoors enthusiast, Jake found peace and joy in nature, especially while fishing. His love for adventure and his knack for mechanics were unmatched-he could repair or build anything with his hands, and his creative flair even extended to drawing. While Jake could be mischievous at times, he always had the best intentions. A little hellion in the best way, he was as generous as he was fearless.
Jake was a natural leader, always guiding and supporting his friends and family. His legacy will be carried forward by those who were lucky enough to know him, and he will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his daughters, Kiley Nikkole Ballantyne (14), Skyla Marie Stephens Pozzi (12), Italia Korean Pozzi (10); brother, Samuel J. Pozzi; sister, Tanya Augusto; uncle, Joseph Augusto; nieces, Leah M. Augusto and Miranda J. Augusto; and nephews, Malachi McIver and Gunnar Pozzi.
A graveside inurnment will take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Middlesex Cemetery, 10827 S. Nash Street, Middlesex, NC, 27557. Flowers are welcomed- please have them delivered to Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, NC 27591, by 4 pm Friday evening.

I met Jake at my sisters house. He wanted to learn about God. I suggested he read Luke Chapter 11 where Jesus teaches His Deciples how to Pray. He came over several times and read the Bible. He found Jesus before his passing. He loved his girls. Prayers to his girls and his family. AMEN.

Prayers to all of Jake´s children, family, and friends. My deepest condolences. Jake was a great friend, and would give the shirt off his back for many, and absolutely loved his daughters. I will never forget the impact he had on my life and I will forever cherish all the crazy lighthearted wild and silly memories. I only wish life had a different plan for you my friend. God needed you a little more... rest in heaven Jake! Gone to soon but never forgotten.
