Sam Pozzi Obituary
Born in May 1944 to Gabriel and Cecilia Pozzi in L'Aquila, Italy, Sam immigrated to the United States as a teenager. He went on to build a successful career in carpentry, working on both commercial and residential projects.
Sam was the beloved husband of Sherry for over 40 years. Together, they created a loving home for their daughter, Cindi.
He loved spending his time outdoors and staying active. Sam enjoyed biking, traveling, gardening, and was always ready to fix anything that needed attention. Known for his strong personality, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family, Sam was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Sam is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughters, Cindi and Ellen; sister, Maria; and brother, Carmen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Cecilia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider planting a tree or making a donation in Sam's memory to the Arbor Day Foundation.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 3725 Rochester Rd., Troy, MI 48083.
Sam's final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
