Jake Martin Smith, 27, of Acworth, GA, formerly of Smithville, GA, died February 7, 2025 at his residence. A visitation and viewing will be held Saturday, February15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
Jake was born in Albany, GA to Rusty and Renee Smith on February 28, 1997. He grew up in Lee County, GA and attended Lee County High School where he was on the Soccer Team and graduated in 2015. Jake attended Darton College, graduated from Georgia Southern University and received his Graduate Degree from the University of Georgia. He was employed with Piedmont Hospital in Cartersville, GA and he and his girlfriend, Jenna, owned and operated their business, Main Street Markets. Jake was a member of Smithville Baptist Church, enjoyed The Stock Market and hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents, Rusty and Renee Smith of Smithville, GA, his girlfriend, Jenna Zimmerle of Acworth, GA, two siblings, Josh (Gabrielle) Smith of Newnan, GA and Marley Smith of LaGrange, GA, his grandmothers, Rebecca Sue Miller of Dawson, GA and Patti Milton Smith of Leesburg, GA, two nephews, Kaiden Smith and Kyler Smith of Newnan, GA and aunts and uncles, Eddie (Talitha) Miller of Dawson, GA Maria (Ronnie) Cudd of Fernandina Beach, FL.
