James Calvin Adkins, 63, passed away on March 15, 2025. He was born on October 4, 1961 to parents Mary (Sistek) Adkins and John Adkins in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his father; siblings Sue Holley, Joe (Marcia) Adkins, Terri (Richard) Uhrig, and Dao (Lan) Tran; numerous nieces and nephews, family members, and friends. He is preceded in death by his dear mother and brother-in-law Don.
James was known to be always busy. He worked in the paving industry for years until becoming the dedicated, full-time caretaker for his Mom and Dad. In his free time, he could be found working on cars, spending time with his cats, and helping neighbors and family members with whatever they needed. He made friends wherever he went, and could strike up a conversation anywhere, from the doctor’s office waiting room to the checkout line at the grocery store and anywhere in between.
He was a very kind soul and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Hold your family close and give your kitties an extra pat on the head in his memory.
