James Raleigh Asher, known affectionately to friends and family as Jim, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 79 in
Bradenton, FL.
Born on February 16, 1946, in
Evansville, IN. Jim was a cherished husband to his loving wife, Dorothy, with whom he shared a beautiful life full of laughter and love. He was a devoted father to his son, Timothy, and his daughter, Shannon Kujawa, instilling in them the values of kindness, dedication, and the joy of a life well-lived. His role as a family man was one, he treasured deeply, and his guidance and affection have left an indelible mark on his family.
After completing his education with the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, Jim honed his skills and became known for his exceptional work ethic and craftsmanship. His hands were rarely still, as he loved tinkering in the garage, fixing anything and everything that needed his attention. Jim's ability to repair the irreparable spoke volumes about his patience and ingenuity. Neighbors often found Jim outside, ready to offer a helping hand or share a friendly conversation.
Many will remember him for his easygoing nature and the way he could effortlessly brighten someone's day with his quick wit and humor. He enjoyed shooting the breeze with friends and family.
