Beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, son, uncle, and friend, James LeRoy Bailey passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on August 22, 2025 surrounded by loving family in Roanoke, Texas. Jim was a devoted husband to his lovely wife Judy Pickering for 60 years, who he married on September 19th, 1964. He was born October 13, 1944 to Mable LaVon Osborne and Thomas Rufus Bailey.
Jim loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Mom and Dad were camp hosts throughout Utah and Washington. Dad worked at Hill Air Force Base for the motor pool and in the hanger as a Jet Mechanic for over 25 years. He had a love for cars, trucks, and even an occasional motorcycle. Dad was always willing to help others and loved his family. He was quick with a smile and a joke and a friend to all. Even though he will be missed dearly we are happy he will be with mom dancing to their own beat.
He is survived by his children; Suzanne Bailey, Roxanne (Clair) Hansen, and Randy (LeAnne) Bailey, brother, Bruce E. Bailey, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by; his wife Judy, parents, brother, Carl Bailey, and grandchild Nathanael Bailey.
