James Bari, 85, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024 in Boynton Beach Florida with his wife, daughters and son by his side. James was born May 9, 1939 to Catherine and Clem in Hancock Michigan. His only sibling is Tom Baril, five years younger. James married Rosalie Sciortino in New Orleans, and they later moved to Florida where he graduated from UCF, and worked for NASA as an engineer for the final stage of the Saturn B rocket. They spent most of their years in Florida, but also lived in Michigan and New Jersey where James worked for Chrysler and Exxon. He found another calling in his last and most enjoyable career as manager of the Outrigger resort which he remade and remodeled. Jim is survived by his wife, Rosalie, his son Bret Bari, Mari Vasan and her daughter Siena and her son Sebastian, Cheri Spain and her daughter Isabella and son Kellan, Barbi Dunaway and her daughter Kayla with great grandchild Tatum, and sons Shashi, Maximus, and Cosimo.
Jim and his lifelong friend Gary Witkowski were undefeated in the sport of handball which they played in their youth. Jim loved being with family and having picnics, barbecues and family gatherings. His hobbies included Sudoku, Mahjong, reading, and watching and playing sports.
Jim had many talents and lived life to the fullest inspiring others to do so.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Saint Vincent Ferrer Church on Tuesday, October 29 2024 at 12 noon.
