James Victor "Jim" Bart was the beloved husband of Judith (nee Wysocki); proud father of Jill Yost and Jodi (Michael) Bart-Krull; cherished grandfather of James Yost, Jacob Krull, Nicole (Brian) White and Samantha Krull; devoted great grandfather of Gwendolyn Palya; brother of the late Rita Thomas.

Jim was born on February 16, 1942, in Evanston to the late Rose and Victor Bart and passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at JourneyCare in Barrington. He was 83 years old.

An Air Force veteran, Jim served from 1960-1964. He served Wauconda as a police officer for 27 years, 5 of those as Chief of Police, and was on the Village of Wauconda Building and Zoning Board for 13 years, serving some time as Commissioner. Jim loved being outdoors and working in the yard. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, building model sized airplanes and birds by hand.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

We enjoyed Jim´s company every time we would visit Aunt Rita and Uncle Andy´s home. He was a very special person and we were so sorry to hear of his passing.
