James "Jamie" Raymond Bobbit Jr., 53, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on November 3, 2024. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late James R. Bobbitt, Sr. and Carolyn Bobbitt.
Jamie loved music and shared this love through his amazing DJ skills and playing keyboards and singing in several bands. Jamie also developed a great love/obsession ("IYKYK") of board games that helped him through his cancer battle.
He was a long-time member of Quaker City String Band in Philadelphia, PA. He loved being a part of this family and even though he was retired, he still felt the love of all of his "brothers".
The family would like to offer a special thanks to all the family and friends who have sent prayers, gifts, and well wishes.
In addition to his father, Jamie was preceded in death by grandparents, Avery and Aletha Bobbitt, and Joseph and Marie O'Connor.
He is survived by his best friend and soulmate, Michele Bobbitt of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Kendall Bobbitt; sons, Carter Bobbitt, and Cooper Bobbitt of Myrtle Beach, SC; mother, Carolyn Bobbitt, of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Cherie Bobbitt of Gibbstown, NJ, nephew, Sgt. Avery Bobbitt, USMC; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Denise Hee; brothers-in-law, Jack Hee, and Brian Hee; sister-in-law, Megan Wardwell; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at a later date in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers please donate to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper or to Colon Cancer Coalition.
