Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the Air Police. He had a full career as a traveling Registered Nurse employed in hospital emergency rooms in California, Georgia, Florida, and Maine, with his last employer being Cary Medical Center in Caribou.
He is predeceased by his parents and one sister. He is survived by a daughter and son, four brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs Togus Medical Services, friends David and Carol Triba, Mainely Health Care and Kathy Foye for their friendship and dedication to Jim's care.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am on May 16, 2026 at Jim's resting place at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Caribou. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Maine Veterans' Cemetery Corporation (NMVCC - P.O. Box 312 - Caribou, Maine 04736), in Jim's memory.
