Mr. James Randall Boyette, Jr., 70, died Wednesday night (May 11, 2022) at Hospice House Satilla after an extended illness.
He was born in Pierce County, but he lived most of his life in Waycross. James graduated from Waycross High School in 1969, and he retired from CSX Railroad as a boilermaker in 2002. He was a member of Hosanna Church.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James Randall Boyette, Sr. and Vinnie Ruth Byrd Boyette; and two sisters, Martha Watford and Margaret McDuffie.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Barber Boyette of Waycross; four children, Donna Cox (Gary) of Blackshear, Shannon Boyette (Tracie) of Bossier City, LA, Kevin Boyette (Kathi) of Hoboken, and Brandi White (Donnie) of Waycross; grandchildren, Ashley Foreman (Brandon), Caitlyn Boyette, Ryan Boyette, Kayla Sellers (Kurt), Kev Boyette, Gage White and Macie White; great grandchildren, Abbie Foreman and Kane Sellers; siblings, Mary Beverly (Merrell), Colleen Taylor (Bennie), Jewlene Sweat (Shelby), Darlene Griffin (Terry) and Billy Boyette (late Wanda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday (May 16, 2022) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
