James J. Breznai, 92, of Avon Lake, formerly of Sheffield Village, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022. He was born October 24, 1929, to his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Breznai, in Lorain, Ohio.
Jim was a graduate of Clearview High School. He worked as a machinist for U.S. Steel and retired after 38 years. He was a member of St. Teresa for 40 years. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling, being outdoors and keeping in shape. He enjoyed walking, swimming and working out. During the winter he enjoyed a warm fire and watching football.
He is survived by his devoted children, Frank (Shannon), Jim (Ann), Mark (Dwayne), and Therese; he was the cherished grandfather of Avery, Jarret, Lauren, Aidan and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen (nee Klein); his parents; and his sister, Betty Bracik (George).
Friends may call Friday, January 7, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:30am for a visitation at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH. Mass will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1878 N. Abbe Rd. Sheffield, OH. 44054. Burial to follow at St. Teresa Cemetery www.buschcares.com 440-933-3202
