James Alan Buck, 78, of Delaware passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 16, 1947 in Columbus to the late Warren and Phyllis (Harter) Buck and graduated from West High School. He then graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor's degree in business.
James was the owner/operator of Jabtec and a member of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware City Police Alumni Association; for which he was a treasurer. He also was a member of Delaware's Tree Commission. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed watching Ohio State Football and Basketball, NASCAR, The Columbus Crew and the NFL. He also enjoyed playing golf with his buddies.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 22 years, Nelda (May) Sisler-Buck; daughter, Andrea and Chip Moore of Columbus, Ohio; son, Alan and Blen Buck of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Ariel and Zachary Glorioso of Shelby, Ohio, Hunter and Austin Tindall of Lapeer, Michigan, Buck Moore and Brianna Carroll of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Nora Buck of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Walker, Willow, and Wilder Glorioso all of Shelby, Ohio, and Elijah, Dorothea, and Clara Tindall all of Lapeer, Michigan; step-children, Arthur Sisler and Andrew and Leah Sisler, all of Delaware; step-grandchildren, Olivia, Max, Ava, Eleanor, and Isabella Sisler, all of Delaware.
In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Buck.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus.
