James Burch Obituary
Jim attended high school briefly before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He earned his GED after being advised by an officer that he needed to get it.
Jim worked for Tokheim Corporation, Fort Wayne and later Westinghouse Air Brake Company, South Carolina but retired early after being involved in a severe car accident in 2001.
He was a member of Wallen Baptist Church, Fort Wayne.
Jim enjoyed regularly attending Bible Study, taking motorcycle trips, bicycling, and working around his house.
Survivors include his children children Jeff (Rhonda) Burch and Greg Ryder, both of Fort Wayne and Mike (Eddie) Ryder of Travelers Rest, SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Don Burch of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 61 years Sonja Burch, daughter Leisa Arter, grandson Matthew Snyder, and great-granddaughters Camdyn Snyder and Elsie Burch.
Arrangements by DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN.
Private burial in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
