James Odell Burns (Junie), 70, passed away November 25, 2024. A son of the late Odell and Mattie Burns, born November 26, 1953, Junie spent most of his life in the Bradley/Polk County area. After graduating from high school, Junie would become well known for his talent in auto detailing. He could make any vehicle shine like a new penny no matter the beginning condition. His passions included playing horseshoe and football. "Junie" was preceded in death by sisters Rachel Burns and Doris Longmire, as well as brothers Fred, Larry, and William "Peewee" Burns. Remaining to cherish happy memories are his lifelong companion, Kim; daughter, Casey Lewis; son, Nicholas Burns; sister Barbara Cheek and brother, Alvin Burns. Services for Junie will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home, Chapel on the Hill. Visitation is 2:00-4:00 with services to immediately follow. The staff of Companion Funeral Home are honored to assist the Burns family.
