James R. Cantor of Richboro, PA passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born in Camden, NJ in 1937 to the late Benjamin B. Cantor and Dorothy E. Stevens.
At an early age, James learned how to play piano. After years of studying and practicing piano, he pursued a career teaching it to children and adults. He enjoyed traditional jazz piano music. In addition, he learned to play the accordion and often entertained at senior centers. James enjoyed riding bicycle on trails through Tyler State Park. He loved telling jokes during his conversations with everyone. James would always greet woman with the phrase "You look like the fountain of youth."
James is predeceased by his loving wife, Antoinette M. Cantor (Lamsback) and survived by two children, Leslie B. Cantor and James A. Cantor both of Richboro, PA; brother, Frank Hartman of Bensalem, PA and sister, Patricia Kalamon and her husband Gregory of Gilbertsville, PA, four nieces, one nephew, eight great-nieces, five great-nephews and six great-grandnephews.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, March 13th from 11:30am-12:30pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. A funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA with military honors.
