James Paul Casher

James Paul Casher, 80, of Tioga, passed away early January 23, 2024, at the Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport. He was born June 21, 1943, in Clearfield, PA, to William and Margaret (Snyder) Casher. James worked for Dresser-Rand as a welder, and on June 5, 1965, he married Nylene Wisor with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. James was a life-long member of the Tioga Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid woodworker.
James is survived by has wife: Nylene Casher of Tioga; a son: James Casher of Tioga; a daughter: Lisa (Barry) Savitz of Newport; a grandson: Nathaniel Savitz; two brothers: William Casher of Clearfield, and Hershey (Joy) Casher of Hampton, VA; and a sister: Carol Ann (William) Cody of Tioga. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Tina Casher; two sisters: Audrey Casher, Ruth Wilson, and three brothers: Hillary, Charles, and Donald Casher.
