James Paul Champani, "Jimmy", of
Medford, MA and formerly of Falmouth, MA, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025. He was just 46 years old. He is the beloved husband of Jennifer (Kleros) Champani with whom he shared 30 wonderful years together.
Jimmy was born on April 8, 1979 to parents James Champani and Patricia (Sullivan) Champani, and raised in Falmouth, MA. He attended Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA, and following high school he went on to pursue a career as a tradesman. Jimmy worked as a Journeyman Electrician and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103 (IBEW 103), since 2005. He was passionate and skilled in his trade, admired for his dedication, reliability, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and leadership.
In his downtime, Jimmy loved nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends and was the person many would go to as he was always willing and ready to help anyone in need. As a child, you could find him at the ice arena playing hockey or racing BMX and Motocross. As an adult, he enjoyed drag racing, spending days out on the boat, and spending time with family and friends, especially during holidays and gatherings filled with laughter and good food. Jimmy was a true foodie - known for doing a little dance when enjoying a great dish or even just talking about it. More than anything, Jimmy's greatest loves were his French Bull Dogs, Marley Bear and Little Lola.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Champani; his proud parents James and Patricia Champani; his dearly loved siblings, Peter Champani (Heather), Christina McMenamy (Patrick), and Stephanie Champani (Brian Bazinet); his nephew and nieces Nicholas Champani, Chloe Champani, and Lilly McMenamy - who brought him endless pride and joy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fotis and Claire Kleros, who warmly welcomed him into their family; as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jimmy was predeceased by his treasured Gram "Bunny" Sullivan.
Jimmy will be remembered for his generous heart, humor, loyalty, and love of life. His spirit will live on in everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
