James "Jim" Cottrill

James "Jim" Cottrill, 62, of Shinnston, WV, passed away September 2, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late William Lee Cottrill and Catherine Elizabeth (Craig) Cottrill. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin Wilbur Cottrill and Elisa Madge Cottrill (Haddix), and Harry C. Craig and Mary Lavine Craig (Malone).
He is survived by his step-children, Destiny Paugh and husband Joe; grandchildren Peyitt and fiancé Natalie, Eryn, Izabella "Bella" and Jasper Paugh; stepson Devin Moran and fiancé Diana.
Jim loved his family unconditionally. He served on Spelter Fire Dept. for many years and enjoyed serving his community. He worked as a paramedic and retired from that position.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A funeral service will immediately follow.
