Jim Robert Dattilo of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on March 14, 2025 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Linda Dattilo (nee: Ford) of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his two sons, Joseph "Joe" (Tricia) Dattilo, John (Supriya) Dattilo; brother, John (Johanne) Dattilo; grandchildren, Madisen and Sophie Dattilo; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, August Dattilo, mother, Viola Dattilo (Thompson).
Married to Linda for 55 wonderful years, their bond was a testament to love and devotion. Jim proudly served in the 8th Battalion of the 4th Artillery, known as the "Guns of the DMZ", dedicated to his country that he loved. Jim had a passion for coaching his son's multiple sports and his active involvement in St. Patrick's Parish, where he served as an usher and a volunteer. A highlight of Jim's life was participating in the Honor Flight in September, 2019, an experience he cherished deeply. He was a man of diverse interests, with a great love for fishing, savoring cigars, and spending time with his "Casino Crew." He dedicated many years of his life working at Anheuser-Busch, where he was admired for his work ethic and camaraderie with co-workers. Jim was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and volunteering his time for numerous community projects, always eager to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and looked forward to vacations on the beach with family, often engaging with strangers to share a smile or strike up a conversation, turning them into friends. A lover of horses, Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, and his warm spirit and generous heart touched everyone he met. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
