James Walton Deas passed away at the age of 83 on September 16, 2025 in Houston Texas.

James was born on October 18, 1941 to Richmon and Awilda Deas in Houston Texas and was raised along side his older brother Richmon Jr and his younger sister, Charlotte.

James graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in 1959. In July of 1962 he married the love of his life, Mary Nolley Deas. They soon started a family and were blessed to raise two daughters.

He was a machinist for many years before starting his own company PlasTech Precision Machining. In 2008 he had a yearning to retire and pursue his many interests.

He was member of the American Pontiac Association, serving as treasurer for many years. James was very proud of his own 1964 Pontiac Catilina.

James is preceded in death by his parents and his brother. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 64 years, his sister Charlote, daughter Laurie Tolliver and husband Rany, daughter Lea Deas and husband Ian, grandson Alex Jimenez, and two great grandchildren Vincent and Jerimiah.
