DeVoe, James Andrew - Age 82, of Genesee Township, died March 15, 2025. Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Friday March 21, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Ryan Walker officiating. (The funeral may be viewed by livestream from a link at Mr. DeVoe's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.) Committal service 11 AM Friday March 21, 2025 in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday, March 20; 9-9:30 AM Friday March 21.

James “Jim” DeVoe was born on November 27, 1942, in Owosso, Michigan, to Keith and Marjorie (Conklin) DeVoe. He grew up on Myers Lake and graduated from Byron High School. A U.S. Navy veteran, James later worked as a dispatcher for Consumers Energy until his retirement.
An avid runner, Jim traveled the country to compete in marathons and participated in the Crim Festival of Races from its inception for nearly 20 years. His passion for the sport continued as he spent the last 30 years officiating high school track and cross-country events.
A devoted sports fan, Jim especially loved the Flint Firebirds and all Detroit teams. He also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and TV Land. Above all, he cherished his family, his dogs and his church family at United in Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: three children, Cheri (Don) Carmer, Ryan DeVoe, Kevin DeVoe; grandchildren, Jayden and Cody; several cousins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lloyd DeVoe; and sister Sharon Alden.
