Funeral services for Mr. James Ray Dickson, age 63, will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Potts and Bro. Keith Pence officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Bradford, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.
James was born in Greenfield, TN, on March 12, 1959, to Clyde and Martha Dickson and passed away on February 19, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was employed at Lennox in Union City, TN, for many years before retiring. He was a 1977 graduate of Greenfield High School.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Janice Chappell Dickson of Bradford, TN; two nieces, Melissa "Lisa" (Tony) Pillow of Rutherford, TN and Joyce (Stacy) Hutchison of Troy, TN; one nephew, Joe Dickson of Bradford, TN; his mother-in-law, Cheryl Chappell of Greenfield, TN; one brother-in-law, Keith (Jennifer) Chappell of Scottsville, KY; three sister-in-law's, Karen Dickson of Bradford, TN, Judy Wright (Bob Smith) of Columbus, MS and Ellen Richmond (James Kilburn) of Bradford, TN; four great-nieces, Danielle (Brandon) Taylor of Greenfield, TN, Cassidy (Drew) Temple of Trenton, TN, Ashley Pillow of Rutherford, TN and Kylie Hutchison of Troy, TN; two great-nephews, Colton Dickson of Parrish, FL and Brycen Dickson of Bradford, TN; two great great-nieces, Annie Lynn and Nellie-Kate Temple of Trenton, TN; one angel great great-nephew in heaven, Weston James Taylor; along with many other nieces and nephews. He was loved by many and leaves behind a host of others that called him "Uncle James."
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Martha Dickson; his brother, David Dickson; and his father-in-law, Raymond Chappell.
