James M. Dinkins 76, of Estero, FL died April 10, 2023, at his residence, Jim was born October 11, 1946, in Lake Charles, LA a son of the late Kenneth and Wanda (Windham) Dinkins. He had been a resident of Estero for the past 22 years coming from Shreveport, LA.
After graduating high school, he attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Jim became a mill worker and spent many years with Nova Construction in New Jersey. After retiring to Florida, he spent 13 years with H&R Block in their maintenance division retiring just a year ago due to his health.
Jim loved to fish and play golf and was an avid fan of all LSU sports. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. Dinkins of Estero, FL, his son, James M. Dinkins, Jr. of Canada and two daughters, Jessica Renée Carlisle of Longview, TX, and Melissa S. Dickerson of Keithville, LA; four brothers, Edward Dinkins, Raymond Dinkins, Ruell Dinkins, and Ronnie Dinkins. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Wayne Dinkins.

We met at church camp when we were young teens. I guess he was one of my best friends. We shared so much over the years. There´s an empty place in my heart now. I will never stop missing him
