James D. Dodson Jr.

James D. Dodson, Jr., 40, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home. He was born February 21, 1984 in Jefferson City, MO, the son of James D. Dodson, Sr.
He married Kathryn (Kate) Anne Burns on April 1, 2011 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She survives of the home.
James was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving with the infantry division. He received the Purple Heart among numerous other distinguished honors and medals. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.
In addition to his wife Kate, surviving are one daughter, Kalena Dodson of the home; one son, J.J. Dodson of the home; his father, James D. Dodson, Sr., (Barbara), Peculiar, MO; one sister, Katie Lampson (Dustin), Lee's Summit, MO; two nieces, Gabby and Grey Lampson; and his trusty furry companions, Cooper, Lily and Lulu.
Mr. Dodson's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with military rites at 7:00 p.m., at the deer camp under the direction of the United States Marine Honors Team. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
