James Donovan Obituary

He was born March 3, 1940, son of James and Hildred Cathy Donovan.
He was an engineer for General Equipment Manufacturing Company/Go Switch/Top Works. James was a graduate of Southern High School and earned a BA in mechanical engineering from UK. He was a member of Louisville R/C and enjoyed model planes and trains.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Sansone Donovan; children, Charles Donovan and Heather Thompson (Daren); grandchildren, Allie, Audrey and Dylan Thompson; and brother, Bill Donovan (Linda).
His funeral is 10am Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-9pm Friday, August 15, 2025.
