James Douglas "Jim" Duke

James "Jim" Douglas Duke, age 91, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, November 14, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Born June 23, 1934, in Richmond, Indiana, to Howard and Louise McConkey Duke, Jim was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a 1952 graduate of Richmond High School. Jim retired from Alcoa in 1996 after 44 years of service where he worked as a production manager in the machinery division. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church, where he was instrumental in the implementation and maintaining of the columbarium. Jim was also a 32-year member of the Golden K Club. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and was very interested in genealogy. Anyone who knew Jim liked him.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Penny Collignon Duke; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorial Visitation for James "Jim" Douglas Duke will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church, 2727 East Main Street, Richmond, Indiana. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church.
