Roy was a good friend to me, starting at around the age ten when he and his family moved in next door, and remained a good friend up through middle school and on into high school. As we entered adulthood, we fell out of touch, but would still speak to one another whenever we crossed paths in town. I always remember him having a hysterical sense of humor, and he was indeed a prolific prankster. In losing Roy, I´ve lost a cherished part of my childhood. When we were young, he was tough as nails, never lost a fight, and was an exceptional bodyguard. He was my brother. Warts and all, he knew Jesus, and Jesus knew him. I know I´ll see him again someday.
