James "Jimmy" I. Ezelle, 83, a retired business owner, died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at his home.
Visitation is 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025, in the Wilcox Chapel with Bro. George Ellis and Bro. Dale Rogers officiating.
Interment is in Leake Memorial Gardens. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ezelle was a native of Newton County and Baptist by faith. He was a master electrician and owned and operated Ezelle Electric.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Linda Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ezelle of Carthage; sons, Andy Ezelle and Jeff Ezelle, both of Carthage; a brother, Billy Earl Ezelle (Rachel) of Noxapater; sisters, Shirley Bozeman of Philadelphia, Barbara Sue Tuminello (Frank) of Flowood, and Jarie Thompson (Lanier) of Tupelo; 5 grandchildren, Nick Ezelle, Kayla Vance, Andrea Ezelle, Haley Nazary, and Josey Ezelle; 2 great-grandchildren, Greyson McLeary and Tristan Vance.
Pallbearers are Danny Faulkner, Neal Brown, Craig Perry, Jason Johnston, Steve Clark, and Donald McLeary.
