James Fields, 59 of Whitesburg, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. James was the son of the late George M and Yvonne Ratliff Fields. He was the widower of Judy Kay Smith Fields. Surviving is 2 step sons: Chris Hooper of Whitesburg and Timothy Hooper of Colorado; 1 step daughter: Tina Miller of Hindman; 1 brother: Charles Fields of Blackey; special aunts: Loretta Brock of Roxanna and Elizabeth Wise of Lexington along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral 12:00 O'clock noon Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Fields officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Dixon Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
