Obituary of James William Galbraith
James William Galbraith passed away in late May 2023. He was 62. Born to Benjamin and Laverne Galbraith on December 10, 1960, Jim grew up in Lakewood, CO and graduated from Jefferson High School. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim spent most of his career as a metal fabrication estimator, working for the last 20 years at C & C Metals in Conroe, TX. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, skiing, driving/working on his 1968 GTO and golfing. Jim was a life-long avid reader and fan of a variety of music genres. He enjoyed watching sports, Antiques Roadshow and spending time with his Texas family at the Fortune Club.
Jim was a loving son and brother who called his mother several times a week and after her death continued the tradition with his sister. He enjoyed being the taste-tester for the drink concoctions made by his brother-in-law and was very proud of his nephews and their ability to keep up with his wicked sense of humor.
Jim is survived by his sister, Susan Schairer (Greg) of Loveland, CO, nephews Joshua (Juliette Anglouvant) Schairer of Philadelphia, PA., Zachary Schairer of Loveland, CO and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held on July 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland, Colorado. The service will also be available on Zoom and can be accessed that day at www.zionloveland.com, click on the worship link at the bottom of the Sunday Worship page.
