James Edward "Jimmy" Gaulding

GAULDING, James "Jimmy" Edward, born September 9, 1934 in Nutbush, Lunenburg County, VA

died November 20, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Anderson Gaulding and Virginia Lucille Dunnavant Gaulding Keeton; his sister, Inez Congrieve Gaulding Gee and a nephew,

Anderson Nathan Gee. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois Anne Gary Gaulding; his daughters,

Tammy Marshall Gaulding of Lunenburg, VA and Cynthia "Cindy" Gary Gaulding Everett (John) of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Lucy Anne Everett Murphy (Sam) of Huntsville, AL and Hayden Mark Everett of Lynchburg, VA. Jimmy graduated from Victoria High School in 1953 and faithfully served our country for six years in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Virginian, Norfolk and Western and Norfolk and Southern Railroads retiring after 43 years of service, retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of employment and recently retired from farming.

Jimmy was a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association, a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees and a member of the Victoria Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023. Interment to follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1419, Victoria, VA 23974.
