James Bruce "Buck" Gray, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Monday morning, August 11th, 2025 at WVU Medicine - JW Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 17, 1957, in Morgantown, a son of the late James and Eleanor Davis Gray.
Survivors include his wife 43 years, Brenda Murray Gray; two children, Tabitha Eakin and her husband whom he considered his bonus son, Clayton, of Morgantown, and James Gray, II of Morgantown; two grandchildren who were the love of his life and his pride and joy, Kyler and Danica Eakin; his siblings, Joyce Gibson of Bruceton Mills, and Doug Gray and his wife Sandy of Morgantown; his brothers-in-law, Bernie Murray, David Murray and his wife Ashley, Junie Ault and his wife Ginger, and Mike Ault and his wife Jenny all of Morgantown; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Murray of Preston County and Sandy Murray of Pennsylvania; as well as several nieces and nephews. Also, he leaves behind his faithful dog, Precious Bear Bear who now lives with his brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell Murray and Sis "Hart" Haught; his brothers-in-law, Richie Gibson and Russell Murray; and two sisters-in-law Pam Murray and Nancy Murray.
Buck loved God, reading his bible and listening to Gospel music. He was a die hard Steelers fan. He was a trustee and faithful member at the Glory Bound Tabernacle on the Kingwood Pike. Buck's favorite place for for a good pizza was Pizza Al's.
The family wishes to extended their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hugo Carducci at WVU Medicine for the care he gave to Buck, and the wonderful staff on 9 South East at Ruby Hospital for their care and efforts.
A celebration of Buck's life will be held at a later date.
