James "Rambo" Edward Hacker Jr, age 76 of Waynetown, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Franciscan Health Lafayette. He was born in Lafayette on February 28, 1948 to the late James and Arthelma Jean (Laflen) Hacker.
James attended Frankfort High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed drinking Budweiser, fishing, and vacationing in Florida. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
James will be deeply missed by his Significant Other of 9 years, Troy Marie Cain-Cornell; family friend, Marcius Strawhorn; 4 children, Karen Cornell, Marcus Cornell, Notuaca Cornell, Michael Strawhorn; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his service dog, Sassy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anita Hacker; daughter, Roxanne Hacker; brothers, Charles and Leroy Hacker; and his sister, Pamela Crider.
A visitation will be held for James at Sanders Funeral Care, 202 Bratton Road in Waynetown on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 4:00 pm with Military Honors by the United States National Guard and Post 72 American Legion.
