James Haese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schneider Funeral Home - Hatboro on Jan. 12, 2026.
James A. Den Haese of Willow Grove passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his home with his wife by his side. He was 87 years old. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Den Haese with whom he had shared 42 years of marriage. He was born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, the son of the late James Den Haese Sr. and the late Mary L. Patton.

After graduating from West Catholic High School, Jim received a full scholarship to attend St. Joseph's University for track. After one year of attendance, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Army, was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and was honorably discharged. Jim worked much of his career with the Philadelphia Police Department; a job he always took pride in. He later retired from Marvic, a local roofing supply company-a place he didn't want to leave because he was having too much fun. He enjoyed giving his friends "pointers" at the Delaware Valley Tennis Club, enjoying an ice-cold beer (not lite beer!) while screaming at the Eagles on the TV, and making memories with his children, grandchildren and even Great-grandchildren whenever he could. But above all, he loved his walks with Pat, each one turning into a small adventure together.

Jim will be remembered for his stories-full of humor and heart, told in a way only he could. He could be stubborn, and strong-willed, but always devoted to his family. He was generous, gracious, and always grateful for life's blessings. His charm and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Life was never dull with Jim around! Though he is gone, the joy, love, and warmth he shared will never be forgotten! He is survived by his wife, Pat; his son, Jimmy Den Haese; his daughters, Susie Kennedy and Michelle "Mouse" Hasher (and her husband, Alan Hasher); his stepsons, Brian Flack (and his wife, Joan Flack) and his stepdaughter, Cindy Tate (and her husband, David Tate); and his stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Flack. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Bobby Flack (husband of Debbie Flack). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Bonnie, Nicole, and Jeffrey (children of Susie Kennedy); Fauna, Jimmy IV, and Jaimie (children of Jimmy Den Haese); Alan (child of Michelle "Mouse" Hasher); Caleb, Daniel, and Andrew (children of Cindy Tate); Nicole, Bobby, Jessica, and Lindsay (children of the late Bobby Flack); and Lauren and Casey (children of Brian Flack).

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd., Hatboro. His interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 5000 Wissahickon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144
