James Halmi Obituary
Born on May 4, 1983 in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of James Halmi and Dawn M. (Serfass) Halmi of Greencastle, PA.
James graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in 2001 and later graduated from Shippensburg University in 2006. He was employed with Berkeley County Board of Education as a special education teacher at Spring Mills Middle School, and was formerly employed at the Board of Childcare in Spring Mills, WV. James was an avid golfer and also enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, and traveling, especially to Williamsburg, VA. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and pets.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Kimberly F. Taylor Halmi; Step Daughters, Nadia M. Mueller and Lillia K. Mueller, Step Son, Timothy S. Severance and wife Kimber, Sister, Kristin R. Schaffer and husband James, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29 from 2 pm to 4 pm, at the Douglas A.Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd N., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
