James Connell Hamilton, age 24, passed on Friday, August 9, 2024 in Athens, Georgia following a courageous battle with cancer.

James was born on August 25, 1999 in Athens, Georgia. He was the son of Virginia Connell Hamilton and James Earl Hamilton.

James loved his family, his friends, his Lord, new adventures, traveling, fast cars, motorcycles, music, video games, good food, expensive scotch and a good cigar. James was a representative for State Farm Insurance. 

James was preceeded in death by his Grandparents, Brenda Joyce and Connie Mac Connell; Belva and Jasper “Jack” Hamilton; his Aunt, Debbie Long.

Survivors include his Mother, Virginia Connell Hamilton (Brent Furlong); his Father, Jim Hamilton (Dawn Hamilton), Brother, Billy Hamilton (Katie Hamilton), Sister, Amanda Knapp (Kyle Rader), one niece, Uncle, Lloyd Helms (Polly Helms) and his special friend, Stephanie Massre.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 1pm in the Chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, Georgia 30677. Rev. Lloyd Helms will officiate.

Visitation will be from 12PM-1PM, one hour prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Private Interment for family only will follow.
