James Hardisty Obituary

Born on August 9, 1928 in Fort Wayne Indiana, James was a son of the late Elmer and Edna Grace Hardisty. James attended grade school at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Waynedale, Indiana and graduated from Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne in 1946. James was a Veteran having served for the United States Marine Corps in World War II and the Korean War.
James was a businessman in Fort Wayne Indiana and Coldwater Lake Michigan before retiring and relocating to Estero Florida. During his distinguished career, he was the owner of the Lantern in Fort Wayne Indiana and worked for Wickes Corporation and Peter Eckrich and Sons.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Hardisty of Estero Florida, sister-in-law Cheryl Harber of Estero Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews in Indiana, Texas, and Florida. James was preceded in death by brothers Willard and Ronald Hardisty and sisters Lou Ann Engelman, Jean Bojrab, and Marilee Young.
A celebration of life will be held in Estero, Florida at a later date during the winter.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, Family Owned Since 1978.
