James Helt Obituary

After high school, James moved to Kansas City, where he worked for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America for several years. James married Nelda Julian in 1959. In 1974, they bought and moved to a farm in El Dorado Springs where they raised Charolais cattle. James enjoyed traveling, playing pool, and play cards at the Senior Center in Stockton.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marcella Ewing; and niece, Norma Wade.
James is survived by his companion, Barb Wood; brother, Donald Jo; nephews: Kevin Collins, Duane Julian, Jeff Julian, Gordon Julian, and Jason Julian; nieces, Peggy Purtle and Gena Julian; and many other family members and friends.
Following James wishes, he was cremated. There will be a graveside service at Stockton Cemetery at a later date.
