He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clarence Holcomb Sr. and Jean Hyatt Holcomb; son, Mark Holcomb; mother-in-law, Millie Yascavage.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Karen Holcomb; daughter, Susan Downing (Doug Thatcher); grandchildren, Alexis Downing, Nathan Downing (Breanna Crawford), Bailey Thatcher, and Haidyn Thatcher; great-granddaughter, Talia Downing; sister, Judy Jackson; sister-in-law, Penny Yascavage; along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A Celebration of Life service will follow with Pastor Rob Hoover officiating. Music will be provided by the church choir.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Promise Ministries Church at 2244 Hall Street Kingsport, TN 37660.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Holcomb family.
