Annalene Buckingham Maupin, of Gray, Tennessee, went to be with her lord and savior and reunited with many dear & precious loved ones on July 29th, 2025 at the age of 95.

Annalene was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee on November 15th, 1929. She was raised in Washington County, Tennessee, where she graduated from Boones Creek High School. She spent most of her life in Gray, where she never met a stranger. Known affectionately as Miss Ann, or simply Mamaw or Meme, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her faith & belief in Jesus Christ was at her core and shaped her entire life. She was a devoted member of her church and a huge source of her personal pride at the time of her passing, the longest living member of Hales Chapel Christian Church in Gray, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Walter Parnell Maupin. Her parents, Virgil & Della Buckingham, brother Vernon E. Buckingham, sisters Brenda Sue Milhorn, Erma Johnson, & Stella Ruth Buckingham.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Reece Buckingham (Glenna), her daughters Theresa Lambert (Charles) and Tami Buttrey (Jerry), her grandchildren, Chris Lambert (Nicole), Matthew Lambert (Hillary), Mark Buttrey (Kelsey), and Mackenzie Buttrey (Alina Klopach), and three great-grandchildren, Colin, Carson, and Harper Lambert, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends so numerous that would fill a book on their own to list.

Special thanks to Dr. Michael A. Ponder MD & Rowes Pharmacy for their kind and compassionate care.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at Hales Chapel Christian Church, with receiving of friends from 10:30-11:30AM with services & burial to follow.
