James Dean Hosick, age 67, of Wayne City, IL, passed away October 24, 2025 with his daughter by his side, at Nature Trail in Mt. Vernon, Il. He was born on March 17, 1958, in Fairfield, Il. He is the son of Ralph and Betty (Anderson ) Hosick.
He is survived by his daughter, Christal (Charles) England of Mt. Vernon; Two grandchildren, Tyson and Candice England also of Mt. Vernon; A brother, Paul (Marion) Hosick of Dekalb; Two sisters, Patricia(Bob) Paddock of McLeansboro, Nicky (Bob) Titzer of Mill Shoals; Several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both parents, several aunts and uncles, one brother, Bill Hosick, two sisters, Kathy Hoy and Velma Eckleberry.
James not only had an aggressive form of Adenocarcinoma; he also had Pulmonary Fibrosis. Cancer and PF are horrible diseases, but PF has now affected five of our family members. His mother, aunt Kathy, anut Velma, uncle Bill and now my father.
He has chosen to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Everyone will be notified once arrangements are made.
Memorials may be made in James's honor to the donors choice.
