James Clayton Jacobs, age 55, of Ramsey, Indiana, passed away on December 20, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1969, in Frankfort, Kentucky, to Calvin Robinson and Julia (Rice) Bosler.
James was a dedicated technician at Black Diamond Pest Control in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he earned the admiration and affection of many customers. Known for his friendly demeanor and unwavering commitment to his work, James had a special way of making people laugh and spreading happiness wherever he went.
He attended Indiana University Southeast, where he was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity, forging lifelong friendships.
James' greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones. He was an amazing, devoted father to his children and cherished the simple pleasures of life, including his love for Chicago Bears football and fond memories of Shawnee Wrestling. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved spending quality time with his family.
James is survived by his father, Calvin Robinson; his mother, Julia Joe Bosler; his daughters, Maggie Jacobs and Jenna (Drew Cecil) Jacobs; his brothers, Dusty (Jennifer) Rhodes and Rob (Jessica) Rhodes; his stepdaughter, Addalynn Groover; his fiancée, Liana Shafer; his son, Blake (Chelsey) Smith-Bohnert; and his grandson, Logan Smith-Bohnert. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the funeral home, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place at the Blue River Church of Christ. James was larger than life, bringing joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and leaving behind a legacy of laughter and happiness.
