James “Jim” Joseph McInerny, Jr., 84, of Palm City, FL and formerly Manhasset, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2024.  

Jim came from Manhasset, NY to Palm City seven years ago.  While in Manhasset, he was a volunteer firefighter for 65 years for the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department Company #1.  Jim also served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve then in the U.S. Army.  

Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years Eileen Marie (nèe Kelly) McInerny; his daughter Chris Ann Evans and her husband Mark of VA; his son-in-law Matthew Burger of KS and his 4 beloved grandchildren Madeline Burger, Jonathan Evans, Grace Burger and Andrew Evans; his grand stepson Michael Burger.  Jim was predeceased by his daughter Marie Burger.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM with a Service starting at 6:00 PM with Pastor Gary Carr officiating at the Stuart Chapel of Martin Funeral Home, 961 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in loving memory of Jim to your favorite charity is appreciated.
